First, an ABC reporter was told he should be prosecuted simply for doing his job.

Then the FCC threatened to go after ABC, seizing on an inopportune joke as a pretext to punish speech it disliked. 🧵

It will continue to be up to us as citizens to push back against this Administration’s growing campaign of censorship and control.

I will keep fighting ensure local broadcasters have the independence to stand up to government threats.

As this FCC considers steps that would let the same billion-dollar media conglomerates that caved in to government pressure grow even bigger, we must combat these efforts to stifle free expression.

Future Forward Women U.S. Gender Wage Gap Report 2025 A State-by-State Ranking Rhode Island has the smallest gender pay gap in the nation. There, women earn 99.6 cents for every dollar earned by men. Utah ranks 51st (last) in the nation for gender pay equity. Women lose an estimated $400,000 to the gender wage gap over their career. Women of color and women in higher-paying occupations lose even more. Among all women, Native women experience the most significant gender pay gap, earning just 52 cents for every dollar.

While we’ve made progress, women—especially women of color—still don’t have pay parity. If these tariffs stay in place, rising costs will hit women and their families hardest.

We must keep pushing for equity.
