I’m glad THOSE events were off screen.

I think I’d put it in a similar category to Four Lions, in that it’s mostly not laugh out loud funny, but it’s uncomfortably funny.

I can see why people walked out of it offended, but like Four Lions I found too absurd to be truly offensive.

Most of the really horrible stuff is off screen and just talked about.

And I think that may make or feel even worse, other than one storyline.

Happiness is brilliant but I don’t recommend 😅

A horribly darkly funny uncomfortable film, about some absolutely awful people and situations.

The last few scenes… holy shit.

Time to finish this gloriously bleak film.

The ‘main’ thing I was meant to be doing in my year in the 6th form was the Diploma of Vocational Education.

We all thought it was pointless, and I assume I wasn’t the only one who didn’t do any of the coursework and just focussed on doing more GCSEs 🤣

I need to watch the Christopher Reeve films again, it’s been a long time, but after leaving Superman (2025) sitting on my mind, I do think it’s my favourite Superman film.

I do think without those films we wouldn’t have this one, though. Reeve was iconic.

Unsure if I’ve ever seen The Fisher King, but it sounds delightful, and I’ve not watched The Mask in years but I remember loving it.

Only ever seen Thelma and Louise on TV years ago a couple of times in the 90s, unsure if I’ve ever seen it uncut.

Happiness sounds like it’ll be a…ahem…challenging watch. But I think it will appeal to my dark sense of humour.
