RIP to the only game that ever really got me into VR

So many meetings today where I just feel like there is hope for good live service game development. #GDC2024 has been a great trip!

Biggest take aways from DICE was that people want real stuff. For the past few years there has been so much lore building and embellishment. Need less of the “we were the team that created it all” and more we are actually doing actual work to make games better

3.5 years I have been battling leukemia with highs and lows. 108 days waking up in hospital beds, 14 rounds of chemo and radiation and 2 stem cell transplants, just got my 12 month biopsy post second transplant and it was cancer free @MSKCancerCenter

Not gonna make it to midnight. But one positive, it’s the first new years in 3 years I won’t go into with cancer. So 2024 already looking positive! Thanks to all the great folks in my life and see you all on the other side!

Been a crazy year and now we enter that weird point where I’m checking slack and my emails for a week but don’t have any messages. Wolfjaw Studios almost doubled in size and added a bunch of credits to our belt!

Despite being a smaller metro the number of transplants in the Capital region accepted me for who I am and allowed me to build @wolfjawstudios.bsky.social into what it is today.

Finally beat Spiderman 2 and gotta say the game was great start to finish. The story was fantastic and the gameplay and mechanics were all fun. Also have ideas on where they are going with it for next one and I am pumped!

I think they did ok. Although I think I’ll look like a college professor at the dinner

Bought a new sport coat earlier for a meeting I have coming up. I walked in and just told them I am color blind and also work in games so usually have sweats and a tshirt or hoodie on so dress me like an adult....

Sometimes putting together a game jam and finding ways to interact with the community is more fun that work. Hoping to keep building on this but so far we have 179 signups for the Wolfjaw Studios Wofljam this weekend!

As WJ has grown I have to say that adding production and operations to the level we had was never a place I thought we would get. At the same time a mixture of probably the perfect hires has helped our studio join our partner studios with a single goal of making great games

When a project is nuts and crunch is in full effect, a client being in those late night sessions & expressing gratitude is huge. When they are no where to be seen unless it’s to complain it will crush any and all motivation and respect
