Btw in Japan, John (ジョン) is (or was) often used as a pet dog name somehow (no offence, John😅)

= a Japanese name commonly used as a placeholder in a form/document, i.e. the Japanese equivalent to John Smith

山田 (Yamada) is a very common surname but 太郎 (Taro) is not as common as it used to be, likely due to its dominant use in documents

Not sure it’s a load word, but I’d say the Japanese expression should have a different nuance to the English one!

セリフ is also written in hiragana (せりふ), or in kanji (台詞)

Some people also use this expression to respond to someone’s compliment given to them (e.g. You’re cute -> こっちのセリフ), but personally i find it a bit unnatural
