These are gorgeous 😍... I feel you about being easily distracted, there's so, so much to be distracted by! Also, I think embroidery/textile art is such a slow and contemplative artform, that for me, it doesn't work well with the fast pace of social media.

Hi :D The black part you can see is a vegan eco-leather made from olives, it's mainly to cover up the stitching. I stitched the beads onto stiffened felt. I have a vid on my Youtube (shorts and full length) that shows an abbreviated 'making of' process.

I mean, her legs are both creepy and sooo pretty when they sparkle in the light!

Meet Gertrude...I recently took a break from #embroidery landscapes to make this #spider #brooch. Made it with glass #beads and real #amethyst and #aventurine chipstones. I have mild, but visceral arachnophobia, but also a LOVE of shiny beads... so Gertrude inspires just a bit of internal conflict
