Second-year WRs are good bets to make, making jumps with a full season under their belt.

And that's been on full display during training camp where Pearsall has been showing out.

• 14/210/2 + 9 targets/game in Weeks 17–18 .

Now enters Year 2 with Deebo Samuel gone, Brandon Aiyuk rehabbing, and seemingly a new 49ers WR hurt every single week...

Pearsall's ADP remains buried despite Jauan Jennings' calf injury and trade request (potentially related as well).

Finished the season strong in 2024 after missing so much time after a gunshot wound.

And FWIW – Hill averaged 12.9 PPG during the end of his rookie season (Week 11 onward).

If we really want to paint the best-case scenario with a young player like Worthy...

Speed players such as DeSean Jackson and Tyreek Hill BOTH were fantasy WR1s in their second seasons under Andy Reid.

Worthy is also expected to see an expanded role similar to the second half of last season with Rashee Rice facing a likely suspension to start the year...

And if he starts out hot...hard to see the Chiefs moving away from him as an established piece of the passing game.

Still there was also a lot of missed TDs opportunities despite the fact Worthy still scored 9 receiving.

If their QB-WR duo can improve their connection in Year 2 we could see some fireworks come from Worthy, who just turned 22.

Patrick Mahomes & Worthy connected on just 33% of deep targets last year (7-for-21), but scored 4 TDs on those plays. It also improved in the second half of the season.

Coaches compared his breakout directly to Rashee Rice’s second-half surge in 2023.
