There are smudges along the edges of the mirror, and the bottom half of it is covered in condensation and water droplets. The phrase written in the condensation reads "STAY GOLD, DOE", water droplet trails starts from the bottom of each letter to the bottom of the mirror. The bathroom is dimly lit, and the teal colour of the tiled wall is reflected onto John. The background reflected in the mirror is filled with red distorted swirls, an intense rim light shining from behind him.
