Your first item "knocked down inflation" really does not show that Trickledown was responsible. Inflation was about 10% when Reagan took office. I remember a house loan in 1982 for 16%+. By the end of the Reagan years inflation was still over 4%.

It did not work in the 1920's, it did not work in the 1980-2008, why should be think it will work today. One of the best periods of growth in the history of the US was around 1950-1980, The top tax rate for most of that time was 92% which gradually fell to 70%.
