Like I really don’t think people appreciate how much work you need to find every year as a freelance TL to make anything resembling a livable wage with the rates where they are rn. To hit the median US income on pretty typical manga rates you’d have to get about *50 volumes* a year

AI does not "assist" translators, it just makes their work harder, brings down the quality, and impacts their pay. 😭

I say this as a professional who came up from fan translation and has friends at Sega who will likely never get to work on this officially: when you fan translate ANYTHING that was previously untranslated, you have a deep, heavy responsibility in setting people's first and typically only impression.

RE9 is great so far! way better than than VIllage. Hoping Leon's sections get a more substantive, because so far they're a bit arcadey, but they do feel largely like tutorials so I suspect there's more meat on these bones.

Grace's parts are great, not quuuite as scary as RE7 but very very good
