If we’re gonna make serious comparisons between AI and nukes, Thompson is right that government oversight is needed and entirely wrong that the military itself is the right party to do it.

You're so mad about one issue and at one group of people that you are willing to punish completely innocent people.

If you can't live in solidarity with the innocent children here, you have absolutely lost the plot. And will make no political allies.

Like honestly, if we had a way to punish just the adults who had children they couldn't take care of, okay that's something.

But being angry at the parents and using policy to take it out on the kids is absolutely bonkers levels of irresponsible. And creates more future abused voters.

The reason to support childcare isn't because everyone wants children, it's because everyone _was_ a child.

If we don't have good childcare, it isn't the parents who suffer, it's the children.
