One of the many things I love about a scanner darkly is how pkd shows the tragic/comic creativity of getting lost on drugs. The fantasy scenes, all the lies and excuses, the bullshitting, baris's lab "like a rat had set up shop, doing experiments with the things a rat prized". Infectious desire.

The qotsa album as well. I was really obsessed with them over the first couple of records. I saw them about 5-6 times during that time.

I played the absolute shit out of that gsybe record when I was at college.

Maybe! I just felt having the police save the day was a complete betrayal of what is set up in the first act, which is that the entire system is built like this, not just don Johnson. The ending we get where a few bad apples could be fixed with reform, felt so cowardly

You can see it with statements from pressure groups, or from joint campaigns from charities, stuff like that. When you see it, it means there's been negotiations behind the scenes between the platform and source about when best to share the message.
