I'll be wrapping up my translation of the Satou ver. of the Turn A novels this month, and it's crazy just how off-the-wall and disjointed this version is compared to the show. Random plot threads forgotten only to be revived, etc. It certainly has its strengths, but I feel that it misses a lot, too.

Heh, the latest issue of Monthly Mobile references the book “Inside Neofalia” which was published in U.C.0118. I just chuckle because the Tyrant Sword entry doesn't entirely fit into true lore properly, yet here we are :P

Oh, goodie, there's a "new version" of Beltorchika's Children coming out at the end of January. I wonder what changes will be made to this. I know Tomino commented on how he never thought about this after he wrote it all those years ago, so here's to hoping he didn't tweak too much.

Moon Gundam wrapped up its fourth arc (VS Char) and we'll be charging into the fifth arc shortly, so it makes me wonder just how much longer Moon Gundam will go. I honestly hope it beats the Ridden manga for length, but we already spent nearly three years in this current arc. Oof.

The French fandom already has it better than the ENG community as of late: Bande Dessinee, Zeta Define, Beltorchika's Children. Are the Blu-ray still being offered for titles there? They've vanished on our side, sadly.

Then again, when you have a small volume run series like Beltorchika that turns into a languished release versus Doan's Island getting cranked out, lengthier series being churned out by a publisher also diminishes (look at how long Thunderbolt took). Too many titles and so little time.

Given many older manga titles simply don't have decent quality masters anymore, options are somewhat limited for publishers to pick a series that would capture enough sales. Most are rather niche (unfortunately!), but if they focused on tie-ins to current series, that would certainly help.
