12.12.2025 15:50 β π 214 π 69 π¬ 7 π 0This is really quite relaxing to watch.

2025 was a funny ol' year for a couple of reasons, some things didn't quite work out & I got back into doing photography which I'm enjoying quite a bit.
But I managed to make some stuff, some familiar & some my own.
Here's to 2026 & hopefully it ends up being something good.
One of my all-time favourite paintings by John Martin that really captures the grand vastness of Hell.

The first time I heard Jim Ward was way back when I was a kid & I played Grim Fandango, his performance as Hector LeMans was truly something as the character was modeled after Sydney Greenstreet's Signor Ferrari in Casablanca.
RIP to quite an incredible voice.
A collection of playful and colourful logos. Some pixelated. They look like they are for toys and videogames.
Some of my logos and titles.
Call me if you need something looking this fun.
Teknoman (which is what I remember it as when I was in my teens) was a big part of my life back in the day.
10.12.2025 22:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So there's an anime based on Hans Christian Andersen's Thumbelina that you might have seen back in the day when it was edited down & compiled into a "movie" called Thumbelina: A Magical Story.
If you've not heard of it, go watch it.
It's VERY Good.
Amazing job on this mate!
10.12.2025 22:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Um...no?
As tempting as it sounds, I don't want to play God & more than anything desecrating someone's memory and creating some kind of puppet out of it feels so disrespectful.
Already got that taken care of, I can never say no to anything by John Carpenter. π
10.12.2025 20:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I haven't seen anything else that Ari Aster has put his name to & I don't think I ever will after enduring what I had to put up with with watching Midsommar.
10.12.2025 20:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The entire atmosphere of the film just felt so unpleasant & I kind of stumbled to get out of my seat once the film was over because it just felt like an internal mindfuck.
It's a very well made movie I'm not going to disparage that, but it just rubbed me in such a wrong way.
See, I hated it. That film made me very uncomfortable and not in a good way, hence why my reluctance to ever really pay another visit to it.
10.12.2025 19:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I want to see Blitzwing come back, maybe even Octane if he gets given a part
10.12.2025 19:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All that shit about Amber Heard severely damaged his reputation on top of his misogyny, so Depp's time in the spotlight is long gone.
10.12.2025 19:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Of all the people in the world that could adapt a story like this, Depp just feels unfit for the position.
10.12.2025 19:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0From what I've seen Canterbury has some really beautiful streets and I really want to see those up close. Not to mention I really love the architecture that the city has so I definitely need to look at that up close.
10.12.2025 19:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've watched Midsommar ONCE.
It's a very well made film, but I will never watch it again. It felt like an out of body endurance test that I wasn't really prepared for.
The next time I'm back in Kent I will explore a lot more of Rochester as well as try and find time to go to Canterbury.
Because that's been on my list of places to see for quite some time.
Ever since General Flagg showed up in Skybound's Transformers run, I keep imagining that he would have been voiced by Kevin Conroy.
It's a real shame he never had a part in this franchise but reading this I hear his voice attached to this character.
This year, watching Skybound's run of Transformers gradually shift & eventually see Daniel Warren Johnson step out with Robert Kirkman stepping in as writer has placed the comic run in an interesting place going forward.
I'm interested in seeing where this goes in 2026.
I'm not even that big into gingerbread and I want some gingerbread cookies for breakfast now π
10.12.2025 15:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good Afternoon β
10.12.2025 13:55 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And followed!
10.12.2025 06:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm a huge fan of the work by Kihachiro Kawamoto & his short "The Demon" is a stunning little bit of J-horror.
The perfect use of black liminality gives it a sense of atmosphere that makes everything else just feel so creepy.
A 3x3 grid of cropped digital paintings framing a photo of a sleeping man, resting his head on the knuckles of his hand. The paintings mostly depict beautiful and/or demonic women, although there are also men and psychedelic flowers present.
Well, I had a pretty good year, in retrospect. In addition to some paintings I'm really happy with, I made two short black and white comics.
Thank you to everyone who has followed me on my art journey this year. I will do my best to serve you something even better in 2026.
