An unexpected friendship between Lilith and Daphne is complicated by the fact that Lilith's presence inherently triggers Daphne's psychic migraines.

When one of the servants accidentally breaks the porcelain doll Maris keeps in her study, Niles begins to worry that her soul has gotten lose and is looking for a new host.

Daphne starts up a side hustle of using her psychic powers to find things for people, whether they want her to or not.

When Daphne refuses, the rats retaliate by kidnapping Niles.

Daphne's past as a show rat breeder comes back to haunt her when rat society agrees to unionize and demands back pay for all their grand prize wins.

Longtime fans will note that this is the first episode where it is implied Eddie may be an omnipotent being masquerading as a simple dog. This would become one of the series' most iconic running gags.

This episode was notable for allowing the cast to show off their period drama skills through double casting them in the Anna Karenina storyline.
However, the choice to have Bulldog in the role of Count Vronsky remains controversial.

When Frasier laments that he should have been a character in classical literature rather than a modern man, he finds himself mysteriously transported into the narrative of Anna Karenina. It doesn't take him long to become a laughingstock as he commits faux pas after faux pas.

Daphne takes great offense at their blatant misunderstanding of ESP. If they can read each other's thoughts, they're not psychic, they're telepathic.

Frasier and Niles start to wonder if they may have latent psychic abilities since they are so in tune with each other's thoughts.

Martin has to clear Eddie's name when an IRS agent accuses him of being the reincarnation of a perpetual tax evader.

The brothers are further slighted when they realize their father actually compiled a case file on the matter.

Frasier and Niles are offended when they discover that when they were kids, Martin was convinced they were changelings and that his actual sons had been stolen away by the Fae.

The emotional energy that has been poured into Frasier's show by callers over the years has become becomes sentient within the tape recordings and want to take over the broadcast.

The first episode of this two-parter was notable for its cliffhanger ending where Martin and Daphne unknowingly donate a box Frasier and Niles are stuck in to a charity drive, stranding the brothers on the other side of Seattle.

Meanwhile, Niles is consumed by the anxiety and dread of being stuck at six inches tall for the rest of his life and what it would do to his social standing.
Then Daphne lets him sit on her shoulder and he decides that it's actually not all that bad.

Frasier worries that his now high-pitched voice will cost him the respect of his listeners and potentially even his show. Not helping matters is Roz' incessant snickering whenever he talks.

In what is clearly someone's trite idea of a joke, Frasier and Niles find themselves shrunk to the size of a pen.
This was a two part episode.

This episode was notable for Brendan Fraser guest starring as human Eddie.

The fact that people also find Eddie much less pretentious and actually engaging doesn't help matters. He even manages to get Martin interested in the opera by explaining the characters' roles through the metaphor of a baseball team.
