Another You-tube post. I've had ideas roominating in my head about a potential boy-cot or exodus of the site for a few days now. If we as consumers want POSITIVE change to occur in the face of youtubes terrible new policies, we have to speak in a way in which Youtube will listen AND most IMPORTANTLY

with the fear of being marked under 18 and having to give ID. This will destroy the site in the fact that an invisible drape of fear and like shit is gonna exist over the majority of videos (at least to me)

More yapping about YouTube’s ai detection and ID system being dogshit; labeling content as for kids now will be pretty much a death sentence for videos. It harms the content creator already but now it will be getting even less videos and can penalize already existing accounts

To put it simply this system takes more data and privacy away from the user, as well as in the end probably isn’t gonna work since kids are gonna find ways to go around or complain to their parents to change their watch time. Because I know very well I did that.

When it should be the parents job of a minor of such young ages to watch content unregulated. When I was small of course I watched stuff I shouldn’t have, but my parents (even If I didn’t agree with them back then) were the people to place restrictions on my watch time or type of content I watched.
