NWS uses IPAWS to alert phones which occurred hours prior to the serious flooding. It’s not as simple as activating cell alerts twice. How about police or sheriff vehicles with loud speakers, NOAA wx radios in each camp, early evacuations???

If there are truly “riots” occurring in LA, as FOX News brands it, you’d think they would have continuing coverage of the destruction. Instead, as soon as Mayor Bass holds a news conference FOX returns to normal programming. Fake entertainment for its MAGA crowd as usual.

There is no comparison between peaceful demonstrators in LA vs. the violent crowd on J6. LAPD handles protests much larger than this; NG is not needed. Trump and company just pretending to look tough in a sanctuary city. A big waste of taxpayers $$ while fanning fear and hate toward the Federal Govt

Let’s look back at some hurricane forecasting history for Accuweather. Joel Myers blamed the Weather Bureau for the 1900 Galveston hurricane when prediction didn’t exist. They advised both Houston & Galveston to evacuate prior to the 1988 Gilbert hurricane, which hit south of TX, not trusting NWS.
