Healing is fucking hard, guys. Today is one of those days where I feel like I'm going 1000 steps back, even though I'm not.

I'm sorry I haven't been active lately, friends. Losing Nana has taken so much out of me. Tomorrow, my husband and I head home for the weekend. Friday is her funeral; I'm doing the eulogy for. I keep having nightmares about losing her and watching her leave us. It's been rough.

Thank you. We knew it was coming, but man, it was hard. I watched her leave us. And it still doesn't feel real 🥺

I'm so sad. I can't believe you're gone..

This house instantly felt empty from the second her soul ascended. She took the light with her, too.

I had nightmares all night.

But she's not suffering anymore, and we knew she was going to pass this weekend. I just hate that my mom was in the shower for it- for both of our sakes.

She stayed warm for almost an hour or so after.

There's so much about death I didn't know.

Watching your loved one die is not something I would recommend. I'm glad I got to be with her last night, I'm glad she wasn't alone, but God.. That vision of her will never ever leave my brain.

I never knew that taking your last breath/releasing the air in your lungs could cause your head/jaw to jerk in such a way. I never knew your body could stay so warm for so long; when my uncle passed, he was almost instantly cold. But nana had been chilly all week, and then her body heated up all day

So, I started watching The Chosen two nights ago. It was filmed not too far from my Aunts house in TX, and my dad was in a handful of episodes. I just never got around to watching it before. Well, I saw him last night, in episode 2. The whispering man is my dad 🥹
