We've just been gifted a rose for Valentine's Day - it's such a lovely gesture, but also to learn that we're this person's safe space when the world is overwhelming has touched our hearts. A rose is a rose is a rose - so shines a good deed in a naughty world.

These are Typewronger All-Night Bookshop deluxe tote bags, hand printed by our friends at @ootblueprint in Night Shop Purple, with purple handles and purple sides. The logo is a combination of our shop stamp and the time stamp. These will only be available in the Typewronger All Night Bookshop!

On Saturday the 21st of February the shop will be open all the way through the night as we're fundraising to pay our bills! We'll be switching over to a purple ink stamp for the night shift featuring a time stamp so you can prove you were chilling in a bookshop at 3am. Stay tuned for more details...

WE'RE OPEN! Stock Take is DONE, and though it's always a bit of a slog, this year it was wonderful to discover so many titles we have on our shelves - I know it's a wee shop, but there's a couple of thousand books in stock and yesterday we uncovered many hidden gems - come take a look!

URGH! Stock Take! Disgusting! Gang, you know how much I detest closing the shop, but I'm afraid we've got to for annual stock take - that's right, tomorrow (Thursday the 22nd) is the one day of the year Typewronger will not open to the public at all - we'll be back as usual at 11am on Friday!

This month's theme is Science fiction! 🚀🪐 Whether you're a sci-fi enthusiast or someone dipping their toes into the genre, come in for a chat about a sci-fi book you read recently or are currently reading! Not your vibe? No problem! Check in next month for March's theme! Hope to see you there!

Our bookseller Jamie just finished THE TOWER by Fiona Carr. A phenomenal period piece set in Lochleven Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots, recently deposed, is locked up with her three most trusted women. We only have ONE singed copy left, but a regular copy can be ordered on our website!
