The first few battles in HGSS are rough with Chikorita as your starter, no doubt about that, but walking around with it and training with it was so fun.

It gets so much hate from the fanbase. I know Meganium isn’t as strong as other starters but it’s so beautiful. I loved watching Ash’s Chikorita in the old Pokemon show,
