Volunteering is the best thing you can do. Another thing is attending city council, school board or county meetings. That way your voice is heard in local government.

I volunteer with Boone County Democrats and we didnt even have a skeleton crew this election. We need more man power on the ground.

Totally agree. We need to build an infrastructure that brings people in. I think a lot of people share our values but dont know how they can help and feel isolated.

I am getting concerned that people are panicking and giving up. We need to discuss things we can do to fight MAGA. Go to City or Town council meetings. Go to School Board meetings and Fiscal court and County meetings. People need to know what they can do to fight and be given hope.

I have been knitting for almost 15 years. Color work scares me. I want to learn in the next year but dont know where to start.

3. The educational system is terrible. We need to dump money into it to improve it. 4. I lived in the UK for 3 years. Kentucky has a class system so rigid its almost impossible to improve your circumstanced. It is worse than the British class system. Its like living in a medievel European serfdom.

I moved to Kentucky 5 years ago. we have multiple problems. 1 the Democrats have almost no presence in the state and need to build up county by county. 2 People seem to be in the "my dad, grandad, etc voted Republican so I will too" trap without considering possibilities.

We need to focus on the positive and not go into a death spiral. I live in Florence Ky, a deep red state and we got progressive Democrats elected to City Council and School Board.
