AMPAR antagonist NBQX reduces GB cell proliferation in co-culture with glutamatergic neurons, as expected. But the GABAAR antagonist picrotoxin doesnβt affect GB growth in the setting with GABAergic interneurons. This suggests #GABA signalling drives #GB growth through non-synaptic mechanisms.
