My latest piece, in TIME, critiques the insidious microscope female athletes are put under, and especially in Olympic women's figure skating.
Female figure skaters are far more than "ice princesses." They are people, too.

Hi all!!! In my latest piece, written for @usatoday.com, I talk about the sustainability challenges of my favorite sport, Olympic figure skating. Here's how the International Skating Union, US Figure Skating and other federations can do more ๐ฑโธ๏ธ

Christina is genuinely one of the best mentors in organizing that I've had. For years I've always thought to myself how much I would love to see her serve as an elected. I'm with her 110%
07.01.2026 18:21 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My name is Christina Cover. I am a 28-year-old UFT public school teacher in the Bronx. I serve on my local community board and am a proud member of NYC-DSA and NY Working Families Party. I am strongly considering a run for New York State Assembly in District 84. I have taught and served at multiple schools in the Bronx. I have seen the extraordinary resolve and brilliance of Bronx students and educators. Simultaneously, I experience the persistent struggles we face. Many students are reading below grade level, but this issue is not in isolation. Defunded programs in our communities have exacerbated violence, important literacy laws are not moving fast enough, and affordability, as we saw in the recent mayoral election, is an urgent concern for Bronx residents and all New Yorkers. As an Assembly Member, I will demand investment in public safety and take a proactive approach, champion laws that raise the bar for literacy in Bronx schools, and join the relentless fight for affordability. I will do this as a democratic socialist who will not accept a cent of corporate or real estate PAC money. info@christinaforassembly.com

I've known Christina since 2020, when she helped Khaleel Anderson become by far the most progressive elected in Southeast Queens.
Since then, she's been a model member of both NY WFP and NYC-DSA: engaged, empathetic, insightful, and committed to building organization.
Yes to Christina for AD-84! โ
On college campuses at least, I think the issue is people being more pre-occupied with pre-professional endeavors/schoolwork/etc., and more recently concerns over being doxxed, losing a visa, or being expelled. I agree with the community organizing responses under here too

Harvard invited two fossil fuel executives to speak on climate panels this past month. As a co-founder of @sunriseharvard.bsky.social, I can confidently say it is another example of Trumpist capitulation.

Recently, Harvard moved up FIRE's rankings from its dead-last position. But, Harvard students still know that there is a grave speech problem on campus: look to recent program suspensions, for example.
