going into conversations about anticarceral work with the bad-faith assumption that abolitionists have no plans or ideas beyond "open the gates" is not the fantastic gotcha some of y'all seem to assume. You're really just showing your own ass at that point.

Canadians! This is important for us too!
Call your local politicians. Call your school board representatives.

Tell them it is inappropriate to push AI into education - the same technology that has been causing mania and encouraging people (especially children) to commit suicide.

We tried the AI tool Evan Solomon used to summarize an AI bill. It didn't go well - The Logic Canada's AI minister used a Google tool to learn about an unpassed bill on privacy and AI. When The Logic did the same, the results were far from perfect.

AI Minister Evan Solomon says he used an AI tool to get briefed up on the Liberals’ last AI bill. We tried it and, well … if a human briefer briefed a minister like this, I don’t think they’d get a second call up.

Because some people haven't heard it yet: PAYPAL IS NOT A BANK, DO NOT LEAVE MORE THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS SITTING IN YOUR ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME. MOVE IT TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY.

Paypal can and will close your account and steal all your money without warning. And have done MANY times.
