People talk about how much the “friend zone” hurts. It hurts to learn someone only sees you as a prospect. Developing a crush on a friend is different, but I literally had a friend tell me they only formed friendships with women they thought they had a chance with…after we’d been friends for months.

SAME. Except I just started to distance myself, because the few times I tried to set boundaries turned into me being the bad guy/asshole. But then I also got “you’re a bad friend for being distant after I literally cornered you when we were alone to aggressively come on to you out of the blue.”

I had “huskerdust fallout” on my bingo card and crossed it off for that even if it wasn’t remotely a “fallout” or “breakup”.

Fun fact: “I’ll fuckin’ spank you” was an improv from Keith 😂 I kept it because it killed me, but also because it felt like a natural grasp for a non threatening-threat. It’s an old school go-to scold. So I felt it worked in character!
