Let's talk dog body language. They tell us so much with how they hold themselves but us humans need to learn how to understand. Luke was a special dog, one who defied the odds and all expectations. At 6 months old his people were told he'd been born with Spina bifida and they'd be lucky if he made it to age 7. This evening at age 14 he went over the rainbow bridge. I was honored to be a small part of his remarkable life 💔

Dog sociability is a spectrum. All good are individuals and have their own preferences - just like humans! Some people want to go to Big concerts, and others prefer book clubs. Those things are both ok! A small number of dogs are "dog aggressive". Most dogs are "dog selective" to some degree. Some good are "dog social".

Just a reminder to always ask before letting your dog approach another dog. And no matter what the human says, pay attention to what the dogs are saying with their body language!

It's cold out there! If you have to walk your dog, I recommend a dog friendly store. But if you have to walk then outside, make sure you protect their paws and ears!
