I have a cuddle clone, and it doesn't look like my cat. There are options though, depending on what your friend wants (realistic vs not, able to cuddle vs display, etc)! Crochet pets, felted portraits that can incorporate the pet's hair, collar, or other mementos, or printed images on a pillow.
