Anyway, here's some very specific breeds of mermaids I have drawn.

It just kills me to see this “there is a correct way” taken SO far and always framed in a “You’re doing it wrong!” way.

There is no objectively correct way.

For some creatures there aren’t even basic standards (like “half fish.”)

LET PEOPLE BE CREATIVE!

And I say this as someone who L O V E S figuring out how mythical creatures would look. I love trying to figure out the biological difference between a deep sea mermaid and reef mermaid and how their enviroment would effect them as realisticall as possible.
