A large black steam train, partially obscured by steam. In front on the platform a woman in a wheelchair is looking at the train, she has a camouflage pattern bag on her chair. One wheel is pink and the other is blue.

Iโ€™ve not posted any trains for a while.

If the useless bitch who came to visit on Wednesday did it like she said she would instead of crying into your chest... you just can't get the staff these days.

I want to thank you for taking the time to get in touch with me and share your perspective on this vital issue and for relaying your personal experiences of the difficulties that the draft guidance will cause.

As your local representative, I remain committed to building a fairer, more inclusive society and to standing up for our marginalised communities.I know Aprilโ€™s Supreme Court judgment has caused concern, and I understand the deep frustrations which you have expressed. Ministers have emphasised that while single-sex spaces must be safeguarded, trans people must also be protected. Importantly, this judgment does not alter the fact that trans people remain a protected group under the Equality Act 2010 and should be able to live their lives free from harassment and discrimination.

As you know, the purpose of the EHRC code is to help relevant organisations ensure they can comply with the Equality Act, including access to single-sex spaces. As MPs, it is part of our role to make sure a diverse range of voices are heard, including the trans community, so I thank you for relaying how it will affect you and your familly. Ministers made it clear to the Equality and Human Rights Commission that the consultation had to be meaningful and properly engage with affected groups. I understand more than 50,000 people responded to it, and that the Commission met with people representing affected protected characteristic groups, as well as parliamentarians.

The approval process does not automatically require a parliamentary debate to be held. If the Government approves the code, Parliament has 40 days in which to consider it and if neither of the Houses of Parliament passes a resolution disapproving it, it will come into force. The Government has given assurances that in its scrutiny of the code, it will consider equality impacts in line with the Public Sector Equality Duty and will ensure people have appropriate access to crucial services.

Wrote to my Labour MP about the EHRC. I said in my email donโ€™t you dare use the words โ€œdignity and respectโ€ and he hasnโ€™t. Otherwise his answer is a completely expected ๐Ÿคฎ.

Ten. One to say the lightbulb can never be changed, one to blame trans people for the old one burning out, one to write to the government and demand a ban on trans healthcare and six to sit in the dark and say it is trans peopleโ€™s fault.

I think this is better news than Philipsson winning so I am cautiously optimistic. However the final EHRC guidance has been put on hold until this is over because Phillipson didnโ€™t want it hanging over her campaign. I am expecting bad news soon, probably next week.

When I was younger I played in a band we played a few may balls for students. Occasionally a male student wore a kilt, they always got a LOT of female attention. I didnโ€™t see any harassment like this but they got a lot of attention.

Most of the roads in Fenland are they same. They drained the land and when it was no longer submerged the peat shrank so there are dips.

Just formally joined the Green Party. They are the only main party in the U.K. who are not openly transphobic except the LDs who are being very quiet about it which is not good enough.

Done some digging on this. The EHRC website says they have removed the draft guidance in prep for the final guidance submitted to parliament. They haven't rolled back. As I read on Reddit, this is like a band blacking out their website in preparation of releasing some coke addled shite next week.

This is a complete mess, now there is no guidance at all. I suspect the final guidance wonโ€™t be issued until after the echr hearing and the deputy leadership bid. They will probably put it out during the Christmas rush to avoid scrutiny.
