I’m at the age when getting terrible health-related news about friends and relatives seems to be a weekly occurrence.

I also love the weird things they peddle during their televised broadcasts. (Lots of wind-chimes.)

I remind myself of the opening aphorism from Battlestar Galactica (2004):

“All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again.”

You can only live your life the best you can, and not give in to cynicism and despair.
