Organic shapes dance about in a sequence defined or limited by shadowy grid like undercurrent. The colors similarly dance about in heighten timbre of chromatic ecstasy contrasted with grounding greys to land the fevered eye.

I think this canary don't sing.

It was actually never intended to become this. The organic nature of using cutouts and placing them gave me something to work from. The grid came after and then gave option for finish.

Fantastic

So excited to show my new work at @kitteryart.bsky.social . It's about recreating reality through observation and memory. I'm adding photography via emulsion processes and working with different glaze techniques to get the right vibe. It's a special direction for me.

Oh interesting! I have a pixel 9 pro and did it for the camera as well yet it may have been a mistake ha. I will try portrait mode, thank you for the tip!

Anyone else have this issue where your phone camera "picks up" the weave of your canvas? It shows as contours on my phone after it processes and yet when I see this with my bare eye, I don't see the weave.

Working on a new one... This one kinda turned into a portrait. Perhaps a portrait of a feeling of many things at once. Like their choices conflicted with the loved reality or maybe their idea of self was split on something.

Ha! That's a propagation from a bigger one I have. A pint of water about once a week and east/south light, indirect. It's benevolent avoidance 😂
