Finally got Entropy building for iOS after having to focus on work for a good bit. Now I can finally get anchoring working on one of our AR targets.

Starting to feel the same about NVIDIA with the random driver issues over the last year. Pretty worrisome - LLMs have a chance to be useful when you have strict engineer oversight. It’s next to useless when management is demanding more output with less oversight (which is a culture I’ve noticed).

It’s okay they’re already vibecoding the fix. Which they will need to vibecode the fix for. Ad infinitum.

For real though I am super excited for a new Castlevania.

These are the reasons I chose to depict the republicans, over whom I have no influence whatsoever, as the tiger - it also is not concerned with what I want it to do. However, ostensibly, the zookeeper, in his role opposing the tiger, is concerned with my safety - it's what he signed up to do.

im going to spell this out for all the very clever people who must have learned the word "agency" recently: A tiger, both literally and in the metaphor, does have agency. It wants to kill me. It is carrying out its plans. The zookeeper is the person tasked with keeping people safe from the tiger.

anyway also the zookeeper is really smug and blames you for the tiger getting out of their zoo

it is a foregone conclusion that yelling at the tiger will not produce any positive results. the fact that people are yelling at the democrats is actually a positive sign: it means they still believe there is a sliver of a chance they will wake up and become an opposition party

my problem with these takes, is it's like imagine if you were being attacked by a tiger at the zoo, and the zookeeper was over there kinda halfheartedly going "hey. come on now. get off him" and you went HEY WHAT THE FUCK! and the zookeeper went "uh don't oyu think you should be angry at the tiger?"

It doesn't make sense for me to ask the tiger not to eat me; It WANTS to do it. I'm not saying it can't help itself, I'm saying why would it? So instead of asking the thing that is actively hurting me to please stop, I'm asking the person responsible for stopping it to stop it.

I’m increasingly on the straight up abandon X bandwagon. I’m sorry furries, but it’s easier to affect change on a new platform than stick around for the porn on the bad platform.
