All violence, all injustice, all oppression is interlinked. How we treat nonhuman animals sets the lower boundary for how we treat each other. The more cruelly we treat non-humans, the more terrible a weapon dehumanization is.

Without empathy, there is no compassion. Without empathy & compassion, violence becomes inevitable. Withhold or suppress our empathy & compassion & we become entirely complicit in normalising all violence.

It really is quite disturbing how conditioned we’ve been to turn a blind eye to the needless #oppression & #violence inflicted on our fellow animals, simply because they’ve been cruelly labeled as livestock 😞

When empathy dies violence is the only resort left. Soceity is built from empathy without it we can longer grow to support each other and civilization dies.

Why can’t more people see the connections between our current ecological / justice crises and human supremacy / dominionism?
