Pay attention to the verbs. Pay attention to who gets named. Pay attention to who “says” and who “did.”
That’s how perception is shaped - not with blatant lies, but with careful framing.

As I wrote in @thebaffler.com a year later, King's willful cruelty presaged Trump's family separation policy
"A country that would not only rip children from the arms of their parents, but then intentionally orphan and exile them just to “send a message,” risks not only losing them, but itself."

The U.S. and Israel have a history of claiming they’re negotiating ... and using that as a cover to attack the country they were in talks with.
This is not American patriotism. This is unmitigated murder. These are crimes against humanity. Unprovoked war, by criminal who lack morality and are devoid of humanity. It's time for Baron Trump to suit up!

The Massachusetts Department of Correction has been fighting me for months, trying to withhold data about its collaboration with ICE.
Yesterday, I won that fight, and obtained records showing that the state has transferred more than 2,000 people into ICE custody since 2009.

A man asked me last night what publishing needs to do for literary fiction to begin appealing to men again. I said, as nicely as I could, that, with over 2,000 books published every Tuesday, of which many would appeal to men, it’s not a publishing problem, it’s a men problem.

It reminds me of Charles Sumner being beaten almost to death by a pro-slavery traitor. Sumner enraged the Rep by using his Free Speech to speak moral truth. In the end, history proved him right and no one remembers the Rep's name. They use violence to silence because they lost the morality.

It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.
He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.

Under MA state law, Secretary Galvin helps Nominate the director of OCPF.
The Treasurer of Secretary Galvin’s fundraising committee, Patrick Galvin, has been delinquent on their state mandated training for an undefined period of time.
Secretary Galvin has run our elections since before most voters were born! Wonder why we hold our statewide primaries on the Tuesday after Labor Day? Is it so that anyone who has chosen to have children is distracted by back to school shopping? Is it so that gubernatorial debates are televised at 5:30 in the morning on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend (ask me! I know!)? Or is lower turnout just a courtesy to election staff across the Commonwealth so they’ll have to do less really-very-tedious counting? Only Secretary Galvin knows for sure!
Image of the original papyrus on which Secretary Galvin’s committee completed their statement of organization in 1975 AD. Perhaps Secretary Galvin’s Treasurer is unaware of the training requirements having become a treasurer in advance of the committee’s formation? Or maybe they did have treasurer training back then and he was still a little distracted by Watergate? Or maybe he received a notice of the training and the document has since disintegrated with age? Thinking about prior eras is fascinating, no?
Looks like the Treasurer for Secretary Galvin’s fundraising committee is delinquent on their state mandated training. MA Office of Campaign & Political Finance oughta look into that—I know they’re pretty strict! Wonder if Director of OCPF has had any dealings w/Sec Galvin?
Oh, that’s right…

32y of Galvin let MA fall further & further behind on measures of access to democracy like transparency, public records, voting access…He’s repeatedly failed to evolve to meet demands of office—now he’s stopped even trying to enforce laws he’s charged with upholding. Still fundraising, tho. #mapoli
