Happy Pride Everyone--Especially the People Who Resent it!

If I punch someone and say I was petting them, the police report would still call it a punch.

The media needs to stop referring to kidnappings and trafficking as deportations. Regardless of what the administration says.

If they really cared about bringing manufacturing back to the US, it would not be done with tariffs. It would be done with taking away tax incentives from the companies until they bring those plants back stateside.

But the MAGAts think if they yell loud enough, none of us will notice.

And then they’ve got Smuggy McScroogeface over there saying “why should we cede to China? China is the enemy” to rile up the table.
1) That’s debatable. But 2) No one is talking about ceded anything. Those are the facts as they are. That’s where the manufacturing takes place.

Why doesn’t @cnn.com fact check during these round tables? A 2 sec search shows AGDolls are made in China, making her entire point moot.

“I promise she’s real. But she’s in another state. You wouldn’t know her.” 🙄🤡

I have to say I was skeptical, but watching tRump’s plan to rid the world of billionaires go into full swing is exciting!
Wait. You’re telling me that companies WON’T reduce CEO wages or reduce profit margins to eat these tariffs? Well, damn.

which leads to Dem policies creating prosperity for the 1st few years of a Rep’s term & the 1st few years of a Dem’s term spent cleaning up the previous 4.
Is that the dissonance?
Will they see it?
Or are they too far gone to care?

If I’m trying to bright side it (hard to do, I know) at least the public gets to see Rep policies play out in real time vs the slow crawl of public speak/backroom watering-down we normally see….

The ‘economic blackout’ movement now wants you to boycott Amazon starting today | CNN Business After a viral social media campaign to spend no money at big-box stores happened last week, a fresh one begins Friday targeting Amazon.

Their hope is to encourage folks to shop/support local in addition to sending a message through money to the largest corporations in the states.
Initially a 7 day boycott, they hope to grow it to 40.

The People’s Union USA is encouraging a 7 day boycott of Amazon and its subsidiaries in response to their/Bezo’s response the the current administration, cutting their DEI initiatives, etc. They’re the same folks who pushed the Feb 28 economic blackout.

Bookshop: Buy books online. Support local bookstores. An online bookstore that financially supports local independent bookstores and gives back to the book community.

Bookshop.org is even selling ebooks now.

Think of it like leaving meta for BlueSky. It’s a lot of time to rebuild your community and reach, but worth it in the long run.

(Plus these other options don’t ask you to GIVE YOUR WORK AWAY for rankings.)

During the #amazonboycott, don’t forget, readers, that it’s okay to support indie authors.

Meanwhile, #indieauthors, do the work to give your readers options to access your work outside of the big A. There are some great options out there that don’t line bezo’s pockets.

I gotta say, I’m loving BlueSky! But not having the reach of that other place plus refusing to spend money on ads there, I’ve noticed a decline in sales for my recent release. Books 1&2 did great! Book 3 is, well, floundering.

As I give it time to breathe before diving into the edits pre sending it off to the editor, do I:
1) Get back to work on my literary WIP that’s been languishing in the background
2) Nosedive into Book 5
