He knew Jeremiah would say something about it sooner or later as he felt the stare against his back, but for now, he wanted to just enjoy the simple things for the day.

The news announcer spoke on the radio before Xavier switched it off for peace and quiet while he tended to one of the flowers that began to wilt in Jeremiah's greenhouse. --

Xavier powered off what was left of his ship before looking around to make sure nothing was amiss so he could leave it for a while until he needed to return.

Stirring from feeling a little stiff being in the same position for so long, he managed to open the pod and carefully got himself out. Standing and stretching while hearing the birds chirp as they flew over. --

The overcast drifted by slowly as hours ticked by, rays of sunlight seeping through the cracks in the clouds, and into the pod where the hunter was still curled in deep sleep. A hand rose towards his face to hide his eyes from the brightness that decided to rudely wake him up. --

Curled up in the pod, he allowed sleep to take over as the storm slowly rolled by. The sound of rain lulled him to slumber, his heart rate lowering below the average human as they slept. --

He decided on the latter as he watched those from the hunter's association run in only to see him there in the flesh. The office would be full of gossip upon his return as they are aware of him having the day off. --

The male had to think rationally about the better outcome, to save those and risk them hurt once more from the elite creatures or to rid the wanderers and allow the other hunters to aid those in need. --
