I'll just add to this that the song with most 12s is not even in the top 10 as it stands.
The only precedents for this are:

#FearofMu21C - B.O.B. and Come On Let's Go joint most (3), finished 13th and 82nd
Other #TheTenx5 admin that hasn't been mentioned for a while:

Only two players can still fail on 50/55, but I have a few others on 'amber' in case they send lots of non-compliant extra HMs.

From tomorrow, people can 'pass' (with 0% after Day 35).

Can I politely remind our US players that Britain does not observe "dalylight saving time" for another 3 weeks, so it's not midnight here yet.
This is going to apply to the rest of the challenge: you;re now 4 hours behind on the east and 7 hours on the west, NOT 5 and 8.

But a top end update: ONE point between the top three, and five points between the top four.
The 240-song cut-off has reached 30 points.
Part I: 65 points Top 138.
Previous lowest cut-off for 250 songs: 40 points.

Which is esp interesting to me as a listener to a *very* British music nostalgia podcast, which:
a) marks Live Aid as the rough cut-off point for the decline of the UK chart
but
b) universally embraces just about everything new coming out of Black America at about the same time
There's a whole other thread (presumably also mainly middle-aged Brits) commenting on how the post-house/post-Live Aid 80s is barely represented at all.
I think that's the next biggest shock to us, after the absence of obvious global icon Madonna, as per the OP.

As has been said by many, that song meant *nothing* in the UK until The Sopranos at the earliest, and more likely Glee.
Our charts are never more different than in the pre-Thriller 80s, and let's just say I much prefer the UK's :)
