these look really good and are definitely an improvement but i think the freaking ugliness of the originals is what makes them special. frisk and chara have these absurdly long necks and huge heads and they kind of remind me of the eraserhead baby somehow but thats part of the charm isnt it....

say what you will about the art style and character designs, i know it's not for everyone, for me the mother series is defined more by its heart and shigesato itoi's writing than its visuals. do i like how the final mother 3 looks better? of course i do, but i still can appreciate EB64 on its own

i'm fixated on it *because* i love mother 3 and it's my favorite game of all time. have you ever been interested in how your favorite movie or show was made? it's like that. i'm interested in what could've been, scrapped plot elements and lore and the like
