Businesses are already moving, investing, innovating. Political indecision now would weaken Europe’s credibility, undermine global climate leadership, and stall the EU’s competitiveness agenda.

Step forward: the EU’s statement of intent to cut emissions by 66-72.5% by 2035 is a welcome sign. But it’s time to lock in that 72.5%, and pair it with a 2040 target of at least 90% before COP30.

Dr Martin Porter highlights how the #CircularEconomy can be Europe’s new competitive advantage.
