Connected conversations Hosted by In Control Scotland Are you a supported adult or unpaid carer? Have your say. 6th May 2025 1030am to 12pm or 7th May 630pm-8pm Connected Conversations is a chance for people who use self directed support to talk about their experiences. We'll listen to what you say and share it with the National SDS Collaboration. This meeting focuses on the second outcome which is about the staff that have been involved with you when accessing support. If you use Self Directed Support, as a supported adult or an unpaid carer, then please have your voice heard in national SDS Improvement work.
We are receiving an increase in calls from people concerned about the scale and effects of reductions in support and services.
We recognise the need to balance the books, but we remain committed to supporting sustainable, effective and person centred support across Social Care.

There will be online info sessions on the 5th of February
and the 13th of February (both 12md -1pm).
Closing date for applications is Monday the 17th of February.

If you are interested and feel you can meet the expectations, join our online info session. If you are keen to apply then fill out our simple one page profile. We will have interviews, as we have limited places. Remember this is something we are running again next year, so if you are not ready or not selected now, you can look at applying in the future.

The chance to work with others, developing your own style and confidence. A space to get your planning up to an approved standard, with a chance to connect with people looking to have plans done with them. What we ask You need to be ready to commit, we need you to be able to attend the sessions and do the coursework. This is a course that deals with challenging topics. We ned you to be honest about how trauma affects you, so we can be sure you are ready. you need to have the space and time to take forward what you learn. You need to be willing to keep going until you reach the approved standard with support from us
