Yeah, my parents never found out - and it was my car my friend was driving. His mad skills saved our lives.
Teenagers can be very stupid.
Looked at attending CYMERA too much with the writing retreat and fantasycon I don't want to tap myself dry.

Tell me a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true.
I almost had a friend drive us off a cliff going 160mph when I was sixteen. Trying to "bury the needle" on a road with a sharp bend at the end and cliffs on both sides. We screamed in happiness when we didn't die.
When we went to adopt a kitten six years ago it was BOGO so it cost the same to adopt one as it did two, and I still only planned to get one - until we found two sisters and couldn't take just one. Worth it at the time, and no issues over 6 years, but that's just these two particular siblings;)

SHE is mortified, and will be lubricated with alcohol (her only condition, and it's legal here in the UK) while I am HIGHLY amused by getting to torture her. For fun. #SmashOrPass

About me:
I love books, cats, and the F-word, plus the LGBTQIA+ community 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️.
For books, it's sci-fi, fantasy, romance, mystery, and any combinations imaginable.
I am writing a sci-fi/fantasy novella (?) at the moment, currently at 20K+ words. Any word count posts are referencing that project.
Also, I haven't slept since yesterday's nap. My focus is nonexistent.
04.03.2026 07:38 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was going to write today but I have SO MUCH RESEARCH to do for this book. Sure, I could make it up as I go, and say "in my world..." but the lore is there, I just have to sift through it. I won't be lazy. But research maybe results in 1-2 lines, max of 50 words. Sigh. #WritingCommunity

First, I have to explain that I don't believe in coincidences - or rather, I believe in happy accidents: this book's main character is so much like the guy I'e be writing about all weekend, but I swear I created him first;) This book will be a reference for future querying.
