β€˜We’re a pub friendship – with songs attached’: deadpan dazzlers Black Box Recorder return, thanks to Billie Eilish Their unnerving songs about car crashes and suburban ennui, sung in a sparkling yet unemotional RP, stood out from the Britpop bloat. Now, thanks to a certain singer taking their streams stratospheric...

This is such a bizarre situation. I loved this band, and loved The Auteurs, and I’m so glad to see them earning a few quid.

I need an Arsenal CS, Gabriel goal and maybe even a Timber red card to save my week.

Favourite ever band, still brilliant live

I loved it. Probably my favourite Hitchcock due to the simplicity and suspense. (I watched Nouvelle Vague on Thursday and the French directors’ love of Hitchcock made me go back.)

I’ll be at the West Ham-Man Utd game as a West Ham fan, so I’d definitely keep Maguire πŸ˜‚

But this is a clear BB team, and I’d probably burn the transfer. You’d get a satisfying little bump in OR….

If you decide not to BB then Sa to a keeper with a fixture in 31 would be a sensible move.

Also, the fact that squads are massive and with five subs there as so few attacking players who aren’t total minutes risks

Just seen that the first few finals were! As a West Ham fan my knowledge is sketchy as we’ve had a terrible record in it (one final, lost in a replay). As a middle aged man I’d support single-legged semi finals at a neutral league ground like the FA Cup used to have.

It was only the first and second rounds that were two legged.
Top flight teams came in at round two. Then it was round three. I genuinely think the League Cup’s days are numbered. Could be relaunched to only include EFL teams

If you’re looking at long term data, I then the best managers would have taken a fair few hits. This is only the second year of being able to roll to 5FTs, it’s only also the second year without the massive DGW/BGW because of the FA Cup QFs. People took hits before to navigate those.

Interesting to see Rogers ahead of Mbeumo but Bryan ahead on expected points

Will Strand Larsen be a pick at Palace? Cheap, maybe on pens, with some good fixtures coming up. But they look a mess. A wait and see, surely.

11.01.2026 13:44 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’d 100% roll. You’ve got moves you want to make in the next couple of weeks and before we know it there will be blanks and doubles. Having FTs in the bank will be huge and it’s much harder to roll than people think!

Five weeks of Foden blanks on 2.06 xGI.

Four weeks before that, seven returns from 2.75 xGI.
