I JUST REALLY LOVE A TITLE THAT MEANS SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW AFTER HAVING READ THE BOOK!!!

And while we’re on the topic, I also love the title of her book “The Other Side of Disappearing” bc there’s 2 (3?) disappearances that it could be referencing:
1) the obvious literal disappearance of the mom (and lynton baltimore)
2) the less obvious metaphorical disappearance of jess

3) you don’t realize how clever of a title it is until after you’ve read the book!

One of my fav book titles is “Love at First” by @kateclayborn.bsky.social and here’s why:
1) It references the saying but how its altered acknowledges how he literally couldnt see her
2) It’s pulled from a line in the book (that’s also basically the thesis statement of the novel!) #booksky

As of today I’ve read 136 books this year so apparently it was actually a very attainable goal

I feel like so many romance readers are sleeping on Kate Clayborn as an author. Please can we rectify this? (this has been brought to you by my reread of “Love at First”) #booksky #romancereads

Abbott Elementary is hitting even harder now that I’ve been working in a middle school

In the last month (since Feb 11) I have read a total of 33 books. Now I’m wondering if 100+ books this year is a reasonable goal but I think if I set that goal then I’ll suddenly lose all my steam for reading

middle schoolers are the exact perfect audience to showcase my backwards writing capabilities to. they really appreciate the talent in a way no one other age group really can.

It’s only been a few weeks but I’ve decided that I love working with middle schoolers. They’re so weird 😂

I’ve read 3/5 Emily Henry novels in the last 48ish hours or so which is to say that my mental state is not entirely stable

I don’t understand football hardly at all tbh and I don’t consider myself a particularly patriotic person but idk Super Bowl Sunday is always fun

I don’t know what they put in the Super Bowl but nothing makes me feel more RAH RAH EAGLE SCREECH than watching

I’m going to start working in a middle school next week (all my experience has been with high schoolers) and I’m equal parts excited and terrified
