Well, what's your solution Barbara?

Hoping for a sustainable & affordable future
Well, what's your solution Barbara?
02.12.2025 01:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Because a large number of ALP (& LNP) MPs have no career outside of politics and would struggle to find work again. To keep them onside Albo & Co keep these appointments for members who may lose their seats, and in return those members vote the Party line. In layman's terms nepotism ... #auspol
02.12.2025 01:33 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0It's actually getting a lot quieter on the roads with the increasing numbers of EVs around
30.11.2025 02:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0ALP living in the past. We could have built a renewables industry here providing ultra-cheap power but instead you make our industry pay ever-rising prices with most of our gas shipped overseas for no return. #auspol #SoldOutByALP nb.australiainstitute.org.au/fix_gas_expo...
29.11.2025 02:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chris Bowen has blocked me so I'll ask you @australianlabor.bsky.social: why are Labor giving our gas away for to Japan so that their companies can re-export and make all the money? All while we have "gas shortages" here? All while you push expensive gas that sets our rising power prices. #auspol
29.11.2025 02:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well give us something to vote for then David. Tell us how you would stop the $365+ AUKUS fiasco and redirect some of that money to fixing Australia's rapidly deteriorating defence capability. We can see ALP/LNP duopoly are selling us out but we need you & others to provide genuine alternatives.
29.11.2025 01:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I expect that a propaganda campaign funded by the fossil-fuel industry will be used to "get them there" ...
28.11.2025 03:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He's got a bun in the oven! π
28.11.2025 03:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0'www1' in the domain name is a bit dodgy ...
28.11.2025 03:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well how about getting stuck into the ALP over cost of living - esp. on housing & power prices - and over corruption as we see gas given away for free and the illegal behaviour of Services Australia and private employment Providers ignored. Are you willing to actually fight like Adam was Larissa?
27.11.2025 01:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yep, I saw that and thought exactly the same. We may no longer have world-class technology or science as cuts to CSIRO and education continue but we still seem to possess world-class propaganda. Sigh ... π«€
27.11.2025 00:46 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Can you pass on a message to ALP MPs for me? Please let them know that if they are too gutless to stand up to Albo as he sells Oz out to donors then they no longer deserve a preference let alone a vote next election. Ed Husic should be OK, maybe Jim Chalmers if he runs for leader ... #auspol
26.11.2025 02:10 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I've just graduated from TAFE with an $8K debt but all I can look forward to as a middle-aged graduate is being exploited and abused by private Providers as I start the long search for work, all the while being forced to live far below the poverty line. Thx ALP! π«€ #auspol
26.11.2025 01:53 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0HECS vs PRRT
Did you know students are generally quite smart ALP? If you "bribe" them with taxpayer money, while treating them as a "cash-cow" that leave them with life-long debts, they will probably grasp that you are selling them out. Students are good with graphs too, so here's one to finish with π #auspol
26.11.2025 01:44 β π 10 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Just as compromised down here in Vic Ian - massive new suburbs sprawling in our west without transport connections etc. I would love to see a population policy that ties immigration numbers to investment in infrastructure, but that would of course require govts not compromised by developer donations
26.11.2025 01:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The "bloated fat" is the money paid by the government to the privatised Providers who abuse jobseekers while raking in millions, the Billions given out in fossil-fuel subsidies, and above all the $365 BILLION+ for AUKUS submarines we will never get, all so ALP can get donations in return. #auspol
26.11.2025 01:23 β π 12 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, even someone like Katy drinking Albo's "Kool-Aid" shows that it its now only about power and trying to keep the perks of office.
26.11.2025 01:12 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe that's why ALP hasn't done anything about the apparent illegal activities still going on within Services Australia Rex? #auspol
26.11.2025 01:07 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0You forgot "growing up and becoming a responsible adult" Debbie π
26.11.2025 01:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Seems to confirm that @australianlabor.bsky.social consider students to be just another group of Australians who can be exploited as "cash cows" ...
26.11.2025 01:00 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Only to be expected - how often do you see courage from parliamentarians from a major Party these days?
25.11.2025 08:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Still waiting for an apology @chrisbowenmp about you saying "it wasn't true" that Japan re-exports huge amounts of Oz LNG at a climate event here in Caulfield in Feb. Do you still think ALP selling out Australians to donors like this will work next election? #auspol
25.11.2025 08:37 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Its the system of student exploitation under the ALP/LNP duopoly Mon. I've just racked up a ~$8K bill for a TAFE Diploma and will now go back to being exploited by private Providers as I look for work. Along the way Services Australia may also again cut off my Jobseeker for absolutely no reason.
24.11.2025 13:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0These posts on former ALP leaders who tried to achieve things and push Australia forward simply reflect the fact that Albo doesn't and has passed his used-by date. 4 million+ households producing ever larger amounts of ever cheaper solar yet Albo promotes expensive gas even as prices rise. #auspol
24.11.2025 02:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0If you ever wanted to become the main opposition as LNP implodes then spelling out how you would get large amounts of affordable public housing built would go a long way. Here in #Macnamara we have the highest proportion of renters in Oz so it could be a good place to start?
24.11.2025 02:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thx Ian - it just beggars belief, especially as someone old enough to recall the horror of that war eg. vision of the first concentration camps in Europe since the Nazis in WW2.
24.11.2025 00:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think the lesson we can learn is that ALP are now simply a professional re-election machine no different to the LNP. I'm hoping the collapse of the LNP will expose the rotten core of Albo's ALP, but whether this makes any difference remains to be seen. Sigh ... π«€
24.11.2025 00:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well having just completed a Web Dev diploma at Holmesglen I've seen student groups here develop similar React.js frontend sites that load data from APIs just like this. While BOM site has a lot more content the styling looks like vanilla Bootstrap, showing just how gullible our govt. agencies are.
24.11.2025 00:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have to recommend QAnon and On for anyone wanting to know how something as bizarre as QAnon could leave the depths of the Darknet and and infect so many people, including here in Oz. It's crying out for a sequel or update #VanBadham! π
23.11.2025 23:59 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Saw this reported on German ZDF news the other week and couldn't quite believe it, but other reporting since seems to confirm there is some basis to it.
