This is the brilliant Matthew Giuffrida, who I have *loved* for years. He has a ton of material on YouTube, such as this gem.

I love how the swirl of water by the head is captured... especially considering its on film. Although perhaps at the time you were disappointed the head wasnt clear.

Image is looking across a 4 lane street with a median. The road is bare, The median has a pathway cleared thru the snow but the far side where the crosswalk leads is a metre high by 2 metre across showpile. The snowpile on the far side blocks access to the pedestrian beg button

About 10 vehicles refused to stop not because the couldnt see us - I had a flashing headlamp pointed at traffic but because we didn't make the flashing lights go.

Crossing g Southland - 4 lanes so you need the crossing light too

1.5m pile of snow plowed up against the streetlight pole blocking the pedestrian crossing button.

This is a crosswalk that falls under responsibility of Parks, Roads and Transit. It hasnt been properly cleared in 5+ years. We tried 311, this year gave up and tried the Ward 11 office. Last snowfall it was uncleared. This is the result today.

City - be safe.
Also City - we will push all the snow at this crosswalk up against the beg button so pedestrians cannot cross safely.

The USSR players status as amateurs is highly suspect.

If you want to avoid roads, you can ride thru Fish Creek park or along the TUC from south Glenmore

Bike rack is tucked in by the liquor. From the overpass you can take the back alley to the warehouse and around and avoid most of traffic.

We've switched to the Tsuut'ina Costco - go in via 130 Ave, home via ped overpass and Braeside Dr is almost all gently down hill

Also grew up up with the time is money, dont waste time mentality and we've had a lifetime of being told how fast cars are.
So ya, a lot of folks are stuck in car brain and it is going to be a slow job changing that.

Its not that we are anti auto per se, but that there needs to be choice

I dont know where to interject in here... I grew up in a rural area KNOWING I couldn't bike to town. I needed a car
Now I happily bike downtown, 40 k loops, overnight trips.
But its only in the last year or so that I have gotten over cant ride to town when I visit back home.
Change is hard.
