I didn't interpret his comment like that because he says he did check for peds, and that the person came from behind. Looking right will not allow you to see someone coming up from behind.

Any guess how long a ped will wait for the next crossing light? Intersection near me is 2 full minutes, that's why I will take an considered risk.
Did you check for people approaching before deciding on a right on red - many drivers don't, they look left & turn right.

Due for my second shot soon. I was skeptical of the dementia impact, as the initial results came from voluntary vaccination. It raised the possibility of selection bias - those who choose vaccines make different choices in health generally. Subsequent studies seemto indicate it isn't just that.

About 10 vehicles refused to stop not because the couldnt see us - I had a flashing headlamp pointed at traffic but because we didn't make the flashing lights go.

Crossing g Southland - 4 lanes so you need the crossing light too

1.5m pile of snow plowed up against the streetlight pole blocking the pedestrian crossing button.

This is a crosswalk that falls under responsibility of Parks, Roads and Transit. It hasnt been properly cleared in 5+ years. We tried 311, this year gave up and tried the Ward 11 office. Last snowfall it was uncleared. This is the result today.

City - be safe.
Also City - we will push all the snow at this crosswalk up against the beg button so pedestrians cannot cross safely.
