WHAT THE EVERLASTING FUCK.

I was given some lovely things for Christmas but this ornament from my niece nearly made me cry (which for a non-crier is basically the same thing as crying). It was when she talked about adding to it that I had big feelings. I am a fortunate human.

And just like that I'm done with the day job for the year. Some parent medical stuff to deal with but otherwise am looking forward to reading, writing, and spending down time with my family. 🖤

Cracked open the emotional heart of the project I'm working on while catnapping today. I straight-faced mean it when I say naps are part of my writing process.

Yeah I totally get that. It always makes the rest of Christmas Eve feel a bit frantic and rushed so I'm happy to have it done.

Not to brag but it's December 21st and I'm done wrapping presents. I'm typically the mom wrapping gifts at midnight on Christmas Eve so this is a significant achievement.

This adult manuscript I'm playing with has a snarky, sweary voice that you can't exactly get away with in mg. I've never used a voice quite like it and it's So Much Fun.
