I was frustrated by a jobby-job’s app that showed a coworkers phone number (tappable to message them), but gave no way to create a contact for them. So I wrote an app to process a screen shot of their name and phone and turn it into a contact on your Apple devices!

I fly often & have noticed this occasionally. I think it may depend on the frequencies being cancelled which may vary based on the aircraft and seat location. I had no problems yesterday on a 737 Max in row 37 but have experienced this on an Airbus A320 sitting forward of the emergency exit row.

You know it’s a feature to have more than one app icon for an app right? That way you can have an app on multiple screens. Then you can chose which screens to show by focus mode. So you can have an app show up in multiple focus modes even on sheets you hide in one of those modes!

Text message from cell carrier that says: You've used 80% of Smartphone Mobile Hotspot high-speed data on your T-Mobile plan. At 100% your speed will be limited to 600 kbps until 04/10/2025. Data on your smartphone will still be high-speed.
Apparently in 2 days I’ve gone through 80% of my high speed hotspot allowance… 🤦♂️
I’m glad I don’t have to do this often.
MacBooks with cellular… Apple can charge more and cell providers get another subscription… why haven’t they done this yet!?

But also… perhaps… software development is a great side job for pilots… easy to work on layovers with just a laptop and internet connection!
