I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Asking because the use of "occupation" seems odd to me when there are clear examples of U.S. occupation worldwide. There are clear threats of U.S. occupation right now.

Genuine curiosity.. is it occupation if its our own federal government and ICE agents who are part of the same communities they are oppressing? Or is this the Jim Crow era policies people voted for?

Watching people with POWER lower their standards, throw out their ethical standards, and rewrite historical events when video evidence exists while standing on a pedestal to tell everyday citizens that they are the change we need is CRAZY WORK. Not reporting the facts is a continuous choice.

Yes, and for me, this feels deeper than institutional power or bad actors. I'm seeing "leaders" using slogans to gain votes and traction while actively voting against change in the name of keeping their seats.
