School went back this past week, but since the kinders aren't here yet, I spent the days prepping supplies and making copies for first grade and kindy. It's so weird to me how much I love doing this prep stuff. Cutting 22 maple leaves & gluing login codes to them. Man I've missed this stuff! 😍

I took my one and only kiddo to the middle school orientation today. It "wasn't not fun" which is high praise for tweens.

The downside to living in the Seattle area is that we don't really get thunderstorms. But it's thundering today and it makes me so happy! The one thing I miss from Louisiana besides the food is the thunderstorms!

Without the ability to block, I will never go back. I had a scary interaction where I made a post about zoom school and a man wrote a vile response about my 4th grade daughter. If I hadn't been able to block him, I would never have felt comfortable being there.

We are under a heat warning. We have no central air so we don't want to cook right now. why do so many restaurants not have kids menus on DoorDash? I have a picky kid. And I know that some of these places have kids menus in person.
