1. If war decisions are made prayerfully, how did we villify a foreign country with a religious despot?

2. Why not the biblical wisdom of Isaiah 2:4 of swords into ploughshares?

I heard part of the press conference at the pentagon this morning on the radio. Either Hegseth or the commander of it said that they were making decisions "prayerfully" and in line with Biblical tenets.

This. Is. Horrifying.

Last night, I purchased an electric snow shovel--pretty much guaranteeing that we will never have another accumulating snow storm in Connecticut.

I just went and got a copy of my birth certificate. I have a copy of my SS card ordered. My passport is about to expire, but I will renew it. While I can easily afford and obtain these documents, there are many people who cannot. Please don't minimize the barrier to voting the SAVE Act would create.

We live in the city that has built the most new housing in the state of Connecticut in recent years, and the current estimate is that our home has increased 10% in value in the 15 months we have owned it.

Tell me how new housing lowers property values?

It is amazing to watch school boards in Democratic strongholds weaken their commitments to bargaining in recent months. It's almost like they have been emboldened by the election of Spanberger, a Dem who is weak to hostile on unionization.

OK. And what is he doing to stop ICE from deporting our neighbors in New Haven? It seems like he is assuming that his various lawsuits will be enough.

I wish I had the same faith in our institutions as most CT Yankees. I spent too long in the south to trust that institutions will protect us.

2. Educates over 10% of CT's black students.
3. Educates over 8.5% of CT's English learners.
4. Educates over 7% of CT's Latinx students.

WHERE IS THE EQUITY?

The true American half time show is always on Facebook when the folks who think mayo is too spicy show up to give us their thoughts on the performer. It's always the same. It's too loud. Too rappy. Too sexy. Too hard to understand. Except when it involves left shark.

I mean, there are portions of the state where people do not choose to move, so it does make sense that there are towns with basically no new homes being built, but, plenty more towns should be in the hundreds range.
