We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

when tattoos are hardly scandalous these days and generally accepted (conditional on content is guess). I think a lot about revulsion and the female body and how tattoos actualize someone from within - a conventionally attractive woman not complying with “beauty” will always be a lightning rod. 🧵

Definitely a few “icks”, but nothing close to the tone of the general public swiping through IG. Which, is definitely something to say about echo chambers, and I’m very grateful to have so many freaks as clients - and ones willing to take chances that are NOT socially palatable 🧵

I remember when I first did this, it hit the Explore page on IG - huge amounts of comments about how disgusting this was (as a roach, I mean yes, polarizing choice) and sexist comments about how a woman could do this to themselves. Not a single comment was like this from my actual followers 🧵
